Inspirations for sewing your personalized wedding dress #13

Inspiration boards are an exercise I love to do for this blog. I like to spot sublime creations in ready-to-wear or haute couture and suggest you sew a similar version thanks to customizable patterns .

Like last year, on the occasion of the release of my e-book " My wedding dress: advice and techniques for sewing your exceptional dress ", I have concocted ideas for pattern/fabric combinations to sew your wedding dress. Feel free to share your inspiration in the comments ;)

At Lorafolk, the bride is in a jumpsuit. To sew an outfit inspired by this creation, combine the V-neck and cigarette jumpsuit patterns. Customize the back with a ruffle. As for the fabric, Cousette's luxury crepe , a heavy polyester fabric, is a good option for hold and opacity on a budget.

At Charlotte Simpson, the open back is graphic and transparent. Combine the patterns of the diamond back and the long fitted skirt with its train . The supreme silk crepe from Stragier will be perfect for a beautiful fluidity. To achieve the transparent effect at the bottom of the diamond back, choose a silk organza .

Zac Posen inspires us with this asymmetrical dress entirely covered in tulle. This is a more complex project because you will have to drape the tulle over the bust of the dress. Combine the Asymmetrical pattern with the long gathered skirt . Choose a viscose Moroccan crepe and a matching tulle to make this sublime dress.

For the civil wedding or simply the bride who wants a casual look, take inspiration from this set from Laure de Sagazan. Mix the camisole in its version C with the skater skirt in midi length . You can add pockets thanks to the tutorial on the blog ;) To add to the retro look of the set, the off-white color of the viscose crepe from Atelier Brunette will be perfect.
