Knitting tutorial: a yellow cable cushion
There's more to life than sewing, I also knit!
Today I'm offering you a knitting tutorial that you really liked on my old blog. It's a very simple pattern, perfect for getting familiar with cables.

The material
- a cushion to cover 35cm*35cm at €5.30
- 3 balls of Aviso Phildar super soft and pleasant to knit at €12.30
- size 5 knitting needles (circular or straight)
- a cable needle.
And the steps of knitting!
– cast on 56 stitches
– knit 8 stitches, purl 1 stitch, knit 6 stitches, purl 1 stitch, knit 8 stitches, purl 1 stitch, knit 6 stitches… and so on
– next row, knit in the other direction: 8 purl stitches, 1 knit stitch, 6 purl stitches, 1 knit stitch, 8 purl stitches…
– every 10 rows, make the cables. Knit 8 stitches, purl 1, leave 3 stitches on the cable needle, knit the next 3 stitches, knit the 3 stitches on the cable needle, purl 1 stitch, knit 8 stitches, purl 1 stitch, leave 3 stitches on the cable needle…
– and we repeat the same thing for 160 rows!
– fold the knitting in half on the right side, sew the sides
– turn the knitting over
– slide the cushion inside
– and sew the last side to close it.
