A stylish and comfortable jumpsuit
For this month of October, I chose to sew a trouser suit with a tailored collar, a piece that is modern, elegant and timeless.

The Tailored Top
-
The bottom of the cigarette suit
-
Classic Long Sleeves
Everything was sewn in a stretch cotton satin found at Stragier , which provides both comfort and a beautiful fit.
My sewing inspiration
This design is directly inspired by a look by Alexa Chung, a true fashion icon of the 2010s, whom I discovered on Pinterest. I love having fun deciphering fashion silhouettes and recreating them with my patterns: it's both a creative and inspiring activity that allows me to bring unique pieces to life.
My version is a little more fitted than Alexa's, as my patterns naturally offer a sleek, structured silhouette.

Choice of size and comfort
But this time, thanks to the elastane in the fabric, I have no problem sewing my usual size. The jumpsuit remains very comfortable while maintaining a fitted cut. The result: a garment that is both practical and feminine.
Since my fabric is quite heavy, I chose to line the collar and pockets with a matching gingham cotton. It's the perfect trick for using up your fabric scraps .

Patterns designed for learning and progress
My customizable sewing patterns always come with detailed booklets with step-by-step photos. I take great care in creating them so that you can discover new techniques, achieve quality finishes, and obtain a durable garment that you will enjoy wearing for a long time.
With the Tailored Top pattern , for example, you'll learn how to sew a tailored collar. This step may seem complex at first, but don't worry, it's much simpler than it looks! I invite you to discover it in this short video.
The belt to finish the look
To complete the silhouette, I sewed a tie belt, following the tutorial I offer on the blog . It's an accessory that I love to combine with a jumpsuit: it highlights the waist, adds style and gives more structure to the whole thing.
Last but not least, I chose to place the invisible zip on the front. The result: the suit is much easier to put on and take off, a real plus in terms of everyday practicality.
Now it's your turn to make these patterns your own ! Will you sew the Tailored top , a dress or a jumpsuit , with or without sleeves? Everything is possible, it's up to you to choose and let your creativity run wild!
