What bra with a backless dress?
A question that comes up very often!
I love low backs and when I was making wedding and bridesmaid dresses, this was a question that came up very, very often during appointments. Here are some tips and a shopping selection for wearing backless dresses AND a bra!
• Try. First of all, you will probably have to try several models before finding the right one for you and especially the right one to wear with your dress. Some go down lower than others in the back, others have transparent or removable straps... It's up to you to choose!
• Think about comfort. While these bras will never have the comfort of a sports bra, let's be honest, you still need to feel good in order to wear your backless wardrobe without constraints.
• Wear it before the big day. Don't wait for a big event like your wedding day to put on your backless bra for the first time. A piece of advice I often gave to brides-to-be was to wear their bra at home, on the street, everywhere (and even without a backless bra) to find the right fit and get used to it.
• Don't be afraid to invest. Even if your purchase is motivated by a unique occasion, tell yourself that it will be a good investment and will allow you to wear backless dresses or tops more often in your everyday life. So forget the price and think long term.
