A New Life For My First Book

Beginners' Sewing Book, Learn to Sew Your Clothes and Accessories by Charlotte Auzou

It is with great pleasure that I announce the release on Friday, May 24, 2024 of the revised and expanded edition of my first sewing book "Learn to sew your clothes and accessories".

What's new

Ten years ago, I wrote this book and it is thanks to it that I became a sewing pattern designer. After a decade in bookstores, I wanted to bring a breath of fresh air to this book that you have loved for all these years. I started by completely rethinking the pattern and grading to expand the range of sizes. There are now 11 sizes (from 34 to 54) instead of the original 4 sizes. Seam allowances are now included on the boards. The technical notebook has been enhanced with a fabric guide to help beginners in their choice. The step-by-step photos have been completely redesigned to best support you in the realization of your projects.

The fabrics

The fabrics that you will discover in this book were provided by Un Chat Sur Un Fil , an online haberdashery based in Brittany. I went there last winter to select the materials so that they would be suitable for beginners. Thanks to Annaig and Ludovic for their welcome and for following me in this project!
