Inspirations for sewing your own personalized dress #3
I love this appointment on the blog where I draw inspiration from ready-to-wear to imagine personalized dresses by associating my sewing patterns with the fabrics that I spot in my favorite stores.
For this first inspiration, I wanted a mid-season dress that can be worn with boots, tights and a chunky wool. An autumn look where the amaranth crepe from Atelier Brunette lends itself perfectly to the wrap-over (which can easily be personalized with a small ruffle), the gathered skirt and the essential 3/4 sleeves for autumn.
We don't forget the backless dresses but we reserve them for indoor evenings! What could be better than the combination of the diamond backless dress with the skater skirt for a dress that makes you want to dance all night ;) The fabric is the eclipse blue proviscose from Pretty Mercerie.
If the sun doesn't want to come to our house anymore, we go and look for it a little further away. For a weekend getaway, I imagine a sublime long dress with short sleeves thanks to the viscose with golden polka dots from France Duval Stalla.
